The Project Manager
- Field Services will be responsible for leading projects, fostering strong client relationships, and overseeing Field Service Technicians. This role collaborates closely with both local and remote managers to support designated clients, projects, and teams, with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences through the successful execution of Field Services projects. The position is hybrid, requiring approximately 40% business travel (including overnight stays) and 60% onsite work at corporate office in Coquitlam, BC.
- Develop a strategy to increase brand awareness and prospects for potential new clients
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to develop new work and drive repeat business
- Maintain the CRM activities, opportunities and forecasting
- Oversee all aspects of the projects within the region
- Plan resources effectively and work collaboratively with other regions to share resources
- Ensure proper, complete preparation and execution of scheduled work
- Preparation of status and progress reports
- Ensure safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fostered
- Ensure completion of reports and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and completeness of work
- Ensure accurate and timely project invoicing
- Ultimate responsibility for client service delivery on all projects
- Meet and exceeds company objectives and goals
- Work with Leadership to determine yearly budget requirements and meet budget objectives
- Work with Leadership to measure department performance as it relates to key metrics such as client maintenance activities, proposal generation, revenue, labor utilization and project margins

- Electrical Engineering diploma, degree or PSE certification
- NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certification preferred
- 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Technologist / Field Technician / Power Systems Electrician preferred
- Relevant experience in maintenance, repair, rebuild and troubleshooting of transformers, protective relays and circuit breakers preferred
- Proficient knowledge of the principles behind the test equipment used and well-rounded understanding of power systems
- Experience in the Installation, commissioning and start-up of power equipment preferred
- Experience working with automation & control systems in the power and utilities market is an asset
- Possesses hands-on field experience in commissioning, testing or maintaining power delivery equipment; including breakers, switch gear, relays, and transformers preferred
- Ability to travel - approx. 40% overnight travel
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Career-minded individual with proven initiative, client focus and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent time management skills (able to work with minimal supervision)
- Able to work flexible hours that might include weekends, evenings and holidays
- Work as a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
