DescriptionATCO Frontec is seeking a 2nd Cook to join our Camp Services team at Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. The 2nd Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods and meals, made and served to the highest standard possible. They are responsible for inspecting food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
The rate for this position is $27.61 an hour.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standard
- Support kitchen operations in a professional manner
- Knowledgeable in safety while operating required equipment
- Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
- Completion of a college or other post‑secondary program in cooking
- Valid food safety certificate
- 2‑3 years of experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Professional communication skills, oral and written
- Work well under pressure
