Aluma Safway is seeking a motivated and results‑driven Outside Sales Representative to support the continued growth of our Commercial Division in British Columbia. This role is responsible for identifying project opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, preparing accurate estimates and proposals, and driving profitable sales growth across the region.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify and pursue bid opportunities within the assigned sales territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, developers, mechanical contractors, manufacturing facilities, architects, and government agencies to generate new business opportunities.
- Utilize Salesforce to track opportunities, document sales activities, manage customer relationships, and maintain accurate forecasting data.
- Review and qualify leads from Construct Connect and integrate appropriate opportunities into Salesforce.
- Consult with customers to understand project requirements and recommend access solutions that address both current and future project needs.
- Conduct site visits to gather project information required for accurate quotations and project planning.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and Construction Managers to develop equipment and material lists, estimate labor requirements, identify site orientation and compliance requirements, coordinate freight and logistics requirements, and prepare detailed quotations using Saf Quote CPQ in F&S.
- Partner with the Manager to facilitate contract execution and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Work closely with the Project Controls team to support timely billing, accurate invoicing, and prompt processing of change orders.
- Support project startups by providing clear direction and coordination to field crews as projects commence.
- Coordinate with the Prequalification team to secure vendor approvals and placement on client bidder lists.
- Identify opportunities to promote and expand the use of the company’s full range of access products and services, including:
Quik Deck, HAKI Systems, Mast Climbers, Construction Elevators, Sidewalk Protection, Trash Chutes, Loading Platforms, and Shoring Systems. - Provide regular activity updates and sales reporting to Regional Management.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost estimating for scaffold and work access projects.
- Hands‑on experience using Salesforce within a construction‑focused environment.
- Solid background in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of project workflows and operations.
- Technical foundation in engineering, drafting, or construction estimating.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam (intermediate to advanced), with the ability to analyze data.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills, with the ability to build strong client partnerships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Self‑motivated professional focused on driving sales growth, exceeding targets, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
