Scope of Work:
- This position will be responsible for the installation of granite and marble jobs:
- 20% - Level, square to align tiles or slabs material to fit parameter.
- 20% - Level and fill seam with color matching with polyester resin.
- 20% - Load and off load materials.
- 15% - Set and bond materials.
- 10% - Cutting, polishing to fit using power tools.
- 5% - Mentor junior/young workers and to assist others.
Job Duties:
- Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered;
- Load & off load truck and transport material into place;
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets if necessary;
- Set tiles or slabs in position and apply pressure to affix it to base;
- Use level, square and straightedges to align and straighten tiles or slabs;
- Fills all horizontal and vertical seams with polyester resin colored to match stone;
- Sets tops as close as practical to the same plane as cabinets including cooktops;
- Cut, polish and fit marble and granite if needed using hand and power cutting tools;
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles and slabs;
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications;
- Prepare rough plans and sketches;
- Mentor junior workers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or four years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Ability to:
- Read/write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos;
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization;
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals;
- Compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs;
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form;
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, gripping, feeling, talking, hearing, handling and repetitive motions.
- The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 125 pounds.
- There are no special vision requirements.
- Indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment and outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions.
- The typical noise level for this job is moderate to very loud.
