Heavy Duty Equipment Technician

GFL Environmental seeks a Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician for our Coquitlam, BC location. This role focuses on inspection, repair, and maintenance of our vital fleet equipment.

As a Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, you'll diagnose and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electric trucks, ensuring our fleet's reliability. Bring your Red Seal Certification and troubleshooting skills to this full-time position, where you will independently manage maintenance tasks and collaborate with a supportive team. Your work will have a direct impact on the community we serve daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair various heavy-duty trucks and equipment

• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections regularly

• Complete and track M5 planner work orders

• Utilize tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs

• Collaborate on mechanical write-ups and schedules

Requirements:

• Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic

• Minimum 1 year post-certification experience preferred

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Physical capability to handle demanding tasks

• Commitment to safety and teamwork
