Utilities Maintenance Worker

Join the City of Coquitlam's Public Works Division as a full-time Utilities Maintenance Worker, focusing on essential water and sewer infrastructure maintenance. This role is integral to local community services.

The City of Coquitlam seeks skilled individuals for up to four full-time positions in Water and five in Sewer Drainage. Your expertise will ensure the integrity of vital systems, operating necessary equipment, and delivering efficient maintenance. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the community's quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled repairs on drainage and waterworks infrastructure

• Operate snow plows and tandem-axle dump trucks

• Repair or replace vital valves and main lines

• Monitor fire hydrant and pump functionality

• Collaborate effectively with team members

Requirements:

• Completed at least Grade 12 education

• Related work experience in infrastructure maintenance

• Sound knowledge of relevant tools and practices

• Ability to work securely and effectively

• Class 3 BC Driver's License required
