AboutThe Role
Amrize is looking for experienced Concrete Sidewalk and Curb Finishers to join our Construction Division. As a Concrete Sidewalk and Curb Finisher, you will provide support to the concrete crew in completing both sidewalk and curb construction. Responsibilities include setting up forms, setting curb string, concrete placing, collecting materials, and keeping a clean site.
What You’ll Accomplish- Check forms for accuracy
- Direct placement of concrete into forms and surfaces
- Finish concrete
- Operate power vibrators
- Use hand and power finishing tools
- Apply sealing components to cure surfaces
- Complete field‑level risk assessments before beginning each task
- Dismantle forms for pouring concrete
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Education:
High School Diploma
Required
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years as a concrete finisher
- Prior experience in finishing concrete
- Experience working in construction
- Experience in leadership
- Growth and development mindset
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved personal protective equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- Pay Rate: $31.15 – $44.50/Hour
