This position operates on a 14/14 rotation schedule, working ten (10) hour days. The rate for this position is $47.00 an hour. Rates may be subject to change.
Responsibilities
Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects/deficiencies.
Perform scheduled maintenance services on plumbing systems and fixtures.
Provide input for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule.
Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.
Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials use.
Ensure that all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Journeyman Certified Plumber (Red Seal) with a minimum of five years’ experience.
Class B Gas Fitter License.
Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform are preferred.
Skilled with the reading and interpretation of blueprints, drawings, & schematics.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) is considered an asset.
The ability to work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations.
Highly experienced customer/client/user management in a 24/7 operation with a strong customer focus.
Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as varying materials.
Basic PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
Professional communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Work well under pressure.
Effectively solve problems.
Class 5 licence with a clean drivers abstract required.
The position is safety sensitive and requires completion of pre‑employment alcohol and drug testing.
