Arena Operator at Planet Ice

Join the Planet Ice team as an Arena Operator in Delta and Coquitlam, where your mechanical skills and passion for hockey will shine. Manage refrigeration systems and operate the Zamboni in a fun, dynamic environment.

This role requires an Ice Facility Operator (IFO) or Refrigeration Operator (RO) certification, or a 4th-5th Class Power Engineer certification. You will maintain the refrigeration plant and ensure all facets of the facilities operate smoothly. Despite varied shifts, you'll work alongside an amazing team committed to keeping hockey operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the refrigeration plant and arena facilities

• Drive the Zamboni for ice maintenance

• Work varying shifts, including graveyard shifts

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise

• Collaborate with a diverse team to enhance operations

Requirements:

• Valid IFO, RO, or Power Engineer certification

• Mechanical aptitude and experience in arena operations

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

• Dependable and hard-working mindset
