HVAC Mechanic I

Join Coquitlam School District as an HVAC Mechanic I in a permanent full-time role. This position focuses on servicing, installing, and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring optimal comfort in schools.

As the HVAC Mechanic I, you will report to the Manager of Maintenance, performing essential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning tasks with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include repairing equipment, maintaining systems, and supervising tradesmen. This role is ideal for experienced HVAC professionals committed to quality service and maintenance in a large institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and service boilers and ventilation equipment

• Repair pneumatic and electronic controls and thermostats

• Perform air balancing of HVAC systems

• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections

• Maintain materials for installation and repairs

Requirements:

• BC Certificate of Trades Qualification in HVAC

• Class B gas fitting ticket required

• Minimum of three years HVAC system maintenance experience

• Proven ability to work independently

• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
