Blasting Operations Helper Role

Enhance your career with BW Gold as a Blaster Helper at the Blackwater Mine in British Columbia. This permanent position focuses on assisting with safe explosives handling and blasting operations.

In this role, reporting to the Development Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the lead blaster to execute preparation and loading tasks efficiently. You'll be responsible for adhering to safety regulations and supporting the operational team. Ideal candidates will have prior experience or knowledge in blasting and mining safety, ensuring job success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support preparation and loading of blast explosives

• Transport and stage explosives while following regulations

• Clean and prepare blast holes for effective operations

• Help establish safety exclusion zones during blasting

• Maintain blasting equipment in serviceable condition

Requirements:

• Experience in surface mining or blasting operations an asset

• Commitment to safe work practices

• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• High school diploma preferred
