Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client is a growing and highly respected engineering firm known for delivering innovative solutions across commercial and infrastructure projects. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant
.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $85k - $100k

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and internal management reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments.
• Track project costs, revenue, and profitability in coordination with project managers.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Assist with external audits and tax preparation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within engineering, construction, or professional services.
• Strong proficiency in Quick Books (required).
• Hands-on experience with general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of project-based or job cost accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Experience with project accounting or percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Experience partnering with engineers, project managers, or technical teams.
• CPA or CPA-eligible status.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
