We serve a diverse client base across industries such as construction, real estate, aviation, auto dealerships, retail & wholesale, professional services, international investments, and high-net-worth individuals. We are seeking a Public Accounting Associate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to step beyond the traditional firm mindset.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Assist with general ledger accounting, month-end/year-end closings, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Support client bookkeeping and accounting system maintenance.
- Assist in preparing business and individual tax returns as needed.
- Identify and communicate accounting, auditing, and internal control issues.
- Collaborate with clients to gather financial data and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Engage in team-based problem solving, client support, and special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public accounting
- Experience with financial statement preparation and general ledger work
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPA or working towards CPA designation
- Familiarity with Ultra Tax, Practice CS, or Quick Books
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
