The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position involves overseeing and managing assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks and/or projects, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, including reviewing and posting journal entries and resolving discrepancies.
- For assigned accounts and projects, implement and maintain process structure to ensure the accuracy of financial records and timely completion of work.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights to support business decisions throughout the organization.
- Complete clear and concise reports that align with the set expectation for the task.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including but not limited to reporting obligations.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Maintain lease software and compliance with ASC 842
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments, such as procurement and logistics, to understand and address financial impacts and reporting needs related to our organization.
- Strong collaboration amongst accounting peers is essential to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
- Must have a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting practices.
- Proficient in accounting software preferred (e.g., GP Dynamics, Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial processes and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
