Position Overview

As a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing strategic tax planning support. This position also offers the opportunity to mentor junior staff and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and other entities
  • Conduct tax research and analyze complex tax matters
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Identify tax‑saving opportunities and assist with proactive tax planning strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
  • Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and other tax‑related matters
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to enhance client service and operational efficiency
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of tax experience in a CPA or public accounting firm
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax preparation, and tax regulations
  • Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting technology
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Preferred
  • CPA license, EA, or active progress toward obtaining CPA or EA certification
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related discipline
  • Experience providing tax planning and advisory services
