Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

A South Florida real estate firm is seeking a bilingual Controller to lead its corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This position requires a strong corporate accounting foundation combined with hands-on real estate accounting experience.

The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial reporting, strengthen processes and controls, and provide financial visibility to company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee corporate and real estate accounting activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
• Establish and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Oversee accounting staff and ensure timely, accurate completion of departmental responsibilities.
• Maintain financial information and reporting within Yardi.
• Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and business decisions.
