We are seeking a Licensed/Project Architect to support commercial architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration in Hoffman Estates, IL. This role is ideal for candidates who combine strong technical architectural skills with project coordination abilities and client-facing communication experience. The Architect I will independently support architectural assignments across design development, construction documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration while collaborating closely with project management, consultants, contractors, and internal design teams.
This opportunity is best suited for commercially minded architectural professionals who are collaborative, proactive, and comfortable supporting projects through all phases of development and execution.
- Participate in conceptual design and project development initiatives
- Support architectural projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
- Develop technical documentation, reports, plans, and project specifications
- Assist with project planning, occupancy studies, and design coordination efforts
- Support consultant coordination, project communication, and technical problem solving
- Conduct site visits and support construction administration activities
- Maintain project schedules, documentation quality, and coordination standards
- Support multidisciplinary project execution across commercial architectural environments
- Represent technical architectural viewpoints and contribute to project coordination discussions
- Professional Degree in Architecture required
- Minimum 3–5 years of direct architectural experience
- Strong architectural design and technical coordination experience
- Experience supporting commercial architectural projects
- Strong communication and consultant coordination skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
- Revit
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office
- Commercial architecture experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting construction administration activities
- Experience coordinating consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong technical detailing and documentation background
- Client-facing/project coordination experience preferred
