Corwil Architects is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to lead projects from schematic design through construction administration. The Project Manager is responsible for project delivery — schedule, budget, consultant coordination, and quality of documents — and serves as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage multiple projects concurrently from concept through construction administration
- Lead design team coordination from schematic design through construction documentation
- Develop and manage project schedules, work plans, budgets, and milestone deliverables
- Serve as primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and permitting agencies, including municipal review and permit expediting
- Coordinate structural, MEP, civil, and landscape consultants; review their deliverables for consistency with the architectural documents
- Oversee preparation of construction documents and perform quality control reviews
Manage scope changes and additional services requests - Conduct site visits, attend OAC meetings, and lead construction administration: review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning, and life-safety requirements (Florida Building Code and Florida Fire Prevention Code)
- Mentor and direct the work of project architects, designers, and drafters assigned to the team
- Support fee proposals, contract negotiations, and value engineering as needed
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 7+ years of experience in architecture, including 3+ years managing projects in an architecture firm
- Proficiency in Revit
- Thorough knowledge of construction documents, architectural detailing, building codes, and permit processes
- Strong written and verbal communication, client-facing skills, and ability to manage priorities across multiple projects
- Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial project types
- Familiarity with South Florida jurisdictions and permitting
- Salary commensurate with experience
