Summer in-person Educational Clinician / Tutor at the Lindamood-Bell Learning Center in Coral Gables, FL. This on-site role is ideal for individuals interested in education, teaching, literacy, child development, tutoring, or academic support, and who are passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. This position is not eligible for remote work. Availability is seasonal, beginning in May.

What You’ll Do as a Summer Educational Clinician / Tutor:

• Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction to in-person and online students of various ages.
• Record notes about student performance while delivering engaging, structured lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership.
• Implement positive reinforcement strategies that maximize learning.
• Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
• Communicate positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic.

Position & Schedule Details:

• Work is performed on-site at the Lindamood-Bell Learning Center in Coral Gables, FL.
• Available positions are seasonal, beginning in May.
• Monday through Friday availability is required.
• Center hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Scheduling changes may be made based on the needs of the Learning Center.
• Paid training typically runs Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, for two weeks.
• Post-training hours may vary week to week based on scheduling needs.
• Internship credits may be available.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, early childhood education certificate, or currently enrolled in a degree program (students welcome).
• Passion for helping others succeed academically.
• Ability to connect and engage with students of all ages with effective task-management during instructional sessions.
• Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following experience is beneficial, but not required for consideration of the role.

• Tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience.
• Background in education, child development, or literacy.
• Experience working with children or students.

Compensation:

• The hourly rate for this position is $21.
