Overview
The Department of Interactive Media at the University of Miami seeks to strengthen its team by appointing an adjunct faculty member in game design. This faculty member will play a leading role in teaching the course “Designing Games for Impact.”
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have previous experience designing games for impact and serious games, and the ability to generate engaging interactive experiences. Experience or skills working with virtual reality products and interfaces and/or 3D modeling is desirable. Previous experience in teaching and curriculum development is also desired. The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and be an inventive teacher. Candidates should demonstrate subject knowledge as well as skills relevant to subject development within an academic and professional context.
Minimum Qualifications- M.A., M.F.A., or Ph.D. required for appointment as a lecturer.
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in the industry.
