Project Manager​/Senior Electrical Engineer, Mining

• Preparing proposals for projects for geotechnical services for engineering projects that include cost estimates and timelines
• PLC, Power, Automation and instrumentation mining experience required
• Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects
• Oversees development of design concepts by designers and ensures proper application and execution
• Verifies designers’ work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings
• Responsible for applying the EXP’s risk management practices of electrical engineering
• Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering
• Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions
• Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
• Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination
• Perform front‑end loading of Electrical systems for projects
• Contributes to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specifications
• Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk
• Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope
• Develops electrical one‑lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
• Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Registered PE required
• 10 plus years of experience in the mining or industrial industry
• Business development experience required

The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skill set, experience, certifications and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
