H.I.G. Capital is seeking a Vice President, Non‑GAAP Reporting to oversee key KPI reporting for the management company, general partners and other corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities- Own and oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual non-GAAP financial measures and operating metrics for the corporate entity
- Build appropriate firm disclosures, GAAP to non‑GAAP reconciliations and metric roll forwards
- Create firm charts and graphs to illustrate KPI movements or composition
- Aggregate and review information provided by fund accounting teams to create a cohesive firm‑wide presentation
- Ensure consistent application of definitions to fund activity across multiple business platforms
- Assist with the compilation of a firm‑wide fund performance metrics / track record
- Understand key firm performance drivers and activity during an applicable reporting period
- Benchmark and continuously assess H.I.G. Capital’s presentation, definitions and disclosures against peers improving on existing reporting
- Document formal firm non‑GAAP policies and procedures
- Prepare various periodic internal analytical reports
Assist with firm‑wide ad hoc projects
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance is required; CPA is a plus.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in fund finance and reporting, with exposure to private equity, asset management, or financial services environments strongly preferred.
- Data driven mindset and ability to build processes and structure around the non‑GAAP reporting workstream
- Ability to interact with senior level external auditors and multiple internal stakeholders including fund accounting, management company accounting and FP&A.
- Strong financial analytics and data interpretation with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team‑oriented environment across group lines to achieve goals
- Ambitious self‑starter who has demonstrated the ability to function in a dynamic fast‑paced and demanding environment.
- Results oriented, strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi‑task
- Resourceful, efficient, and professional with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven acumen in leveraging Excel on an expert basis, experience with Power Point
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Deep sense of ownership and commitment to process excellence
- Experience working with the financial reporting tool, Workiva, and accounting ERP, Workday, are a plus.
