Role Description

The Senior Credit Analyst role is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for evaluating creditworthiness for commercial and/or private banking clients, including performing detailed financial statement analysis, cash flow assessments, and risk rating determinations. The Senior Credit Analyst prepares comprehensive credit memoranda, supports underwriting for new and existing lending relationships, and recommends appropriate credit structures, terms, and covenants.

Daily responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, tracking covenant compliance, identifying early warning signs, and assisting with remediation strategies when needed. The role collaborates closely with relationship managers, risk partners, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely credit decisions, adherence to credit policies, and alignment with regulatory requirements. The Senior Credit Analyst also contributes to process improvements, mentors junior analysts, and supports special projects as required.

Qualifications
  • Strong credit expertise, including Credit Management and Credit analysis skills to assess risk, structure facilities, and recommend sound lending decisions.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret financial statements, analyze cash flows, and evaluate collateral and capital structures.
  • Effective Communication skills to present credit recommendations clearly, write concise credit memoranda, and collaborate with relationship managers and risk partners.
  • Experience in commercial or corporate banking, preferably in credit or risk-focused roles.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to lending and credit risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with financial modeling, spreadsheet tools, and credit risk systems.
  • Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, manage multiple priorities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines with attention to detail.
