Job Overview
The University of Miami Health System UMIT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time BI Report Developer 3 to work in a hybrid capacity based in Coral Gables, Florida. The BI Report Developer 3 is responsible for day-to-day projects and analytics prioritized by the Manager of Business Process Analytics. They will mainly work on Workday reporting within the Finance, HCM, and Supply Chain areas and will be required to have knowledge of these areas within Workday.
CoreResponsibilities
- Partner with business users to gather all requirements to formulate business specifications. Translate the specifications into application and operational requirements and ultimately a report or a series of reports that satisfy those requirements.
- Investigate and analyze current functionality to identify data integrity issues and misalignments with existing business services policies and procedures.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate processes, systems, and user needs for planned projects based on the business plan of the enterprise.
- Engage with stakeholders across multiple functional areas to gather, clarify, and document reporting and analytic needs for ad hoc reporting, recurring events, and projects.
- Determine what data should be selected and evaluated to address and track various business issues.
- Consult with functional teams on the selection, application, and implementation of metrics.
- Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues.
- Review reports and ensure that financial information has been recorded accurately.
- Analyze a variety of financial data and produce relevant reports in a clear, concise and timely manner to answer end‑users inquiries.
- Takes ownership of and ensures integrity of Finance data through development of audit reports; troubleshoot irregularities; partner with Functional team to research, correct discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
- Remain apprised of new technology, approaches and best practices as it relates to business analytics and generate critical data associated with the business.
- Serve as a key contact for non‑routine questions and requests, especially related to Finance systems and data.
- Extract, manipulate, and explore data using quantitative, statistical, and visualization tools.
- Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action.
- Manage confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.
- May participate in interviewing, hiring, and performance appraisals of lower‑level people.

Core Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Reporting Tools
- Exceptional presentation and analytical skills
