We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Family Law practice. This role is central to delivering high-quality legal representation in matters involving divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, prenuptial agreements, and other family-related legal issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in family law, exceptional client communication skills, and a commitment to advocating for clients with empathy and professionalism.
As an Associate Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex cases from inception to resolution, collaborating closely with senior attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders. Your work will directly impact families navigating some of life’s most challenging transitions, making this position both impactful and essential to our firm’s mission of justice and client advocacy.
- Represent clients in all stages of family law proceedings, including negotiations, mediation, and court hearings.
- Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, motions, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and prenuptial agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client outcomes.
- Manage case files with accuracy, organization, and strict adherence to ethical and procedural standards.
- Provide clear, compassionate, and timely communication to clients regarding case status, legal options, and expected timelines.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, contributing to legal strategy and courtroom preparation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and local family law statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
- Participate in client intake, case evaluation, and development of individualized legal plans.
- Assist in the development of firm-wide resources, including templates, checklists, and procedural guides.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the state bar with no disciplinary history.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in family law, including litigation and negotiation.
- Proven track record of handling high-volume caseloads with attention to detail and client satisfaction.
- Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with experience drafting pleadings and presenting in court.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis Nexis) and case management software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive client relationships with discretion and empathy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Commitment to continuing legal education and professional development in family law.
