Gables Engineering (a HEICO company) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Repair Operations Coordinator to support our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations. In this critical role, you will coordinate the repair lifecycle of aerospace components while serving as a key communication link between customers, engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams.

What You'll Do

As a Repair Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring repairs are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of repair orders, from intake and evaluation through shipment and customer delivery.
  • Support quotation activities and monitor repair progress to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain repair documentation, including:
  • Work orders
  • Certifications
  • Traceability records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding:
  • Turnaround times
  • Pricing and quotations
  • Warranty determinations
  • Escalation of critical AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations
  • Monitor customer communications through email and web portals, ensuring timely responses and prioritization of urgent requests.
  • Maintain accurate information in customer portals and internal ERP systems.
  • Partner with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues, expedite repairs, and improve operational performance.
  • Manage digital documentation processes, including scanning, indexing, and record retention.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements within repair operations.
  • Support special projects and additional operational initiatives as assigned.
Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize ERP systems (IFS experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working with data, ensuring accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and supporting process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or other regulated aerospace environment.
  • Familiarity with aircraft component repair processes, rotable inventory management, or aviation supply chain operations.
  • Experience supporting OEM customers, aviation programs, or contractual service agreements.
  • Experience managing customer web portals or similar digital platforms.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force when necessary.
  • Visual acuity required for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing documentation and data.
