Overview
The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) seeks a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) faculty member for a full-time position at the Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical rank. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor position supports the expansion of clinical and didactic education, student advising, and program development within the psychiatric mental health specialty as enrollment grows.

Qualifications- PhD, DNP, Doctoral Degree in Nursing or Masters in Nursing (MSN required)
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Current and active APRN and RN license (or eligibility for licensure in Florida prior to start)
- A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive clinical experience in psychiatric mental health settings
- Experience teaching, precepting, or mentoring in graduate nursing education preferred
- Conduct didactic, simulation, and clinical teaching and provide academic and clinical advising to students in the PMHNP program
- Support curriculum delivery and participate in the development and evaluation of courses and program outcomes
- Collaborate in scholarship and research activities and contribute to peer-reviewed publications as appropriate
- Participate in community and academic service, including maintaining and expanding clinical partnerships
- Guide and mentor students in scholarly projects and clinical training experiences
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the PMHNP program as an active faculty member
