Restaurant Host

Salary Range: $18.07 – $22.60*

Neiman Marcus is a leading luxury retailer that offers a curated product assortment, unparalleled services, and exclusive activations to customers in pursuit of the Extraordinary. The company operates 36 stores, digital channels, and remote selling.

• Maintain presence at host stand/door, greet and seat customers professionally and graciously.
• Monitor server performance to ensure smooth service during customers’ dining experience.
• Observe proper telephone etiquette.
• Handle reservations through Open Table platform (including VIPs) and address inquiries regarding hours, specials, and events.
• Organize reservations, maximize seating during operating hours, and optimize staffing and customer traffic.
• Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including authorized payment methods, and maintain POS system knowledge.
• Keep flow of service to standards (e.g., proper seating of customers to each wait station).
• Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings.
• Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, highchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentability of all menus and menu covers.
• Maintain the highest level of hygiene standards, including:
  • Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
  • Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks
• Adhere to posted work schedule and follow established procedures for schedule and shift changes.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of Open Table platform.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Motivated and results‑driven.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills.

• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
