We are looking for a seasoned, strategic Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits team and lead complex client relationships, drive retention, and deliver innovative benefits solutions that truly make an impact. As an Employee Benefits Account Executive, you will serve as the primary consultant and relationship leader for our portfolio of mid-to-large market group clients. You’ll guide benefits strategy, assist in renewal negotiations, financial analysis, and long-term cost management while partnering with internal analytics, underwriting, and service teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Account Executives assess the nature of any given problem, understand thoroughly the expectations of the client and consistently meet or exceed those expectations. As an Account Executive, you must contribute to and flourish in a team environment, engage in regular professional development, and develop through on‑going continued education.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with each client in our book of business. This partnership includes (but not limited to):
- Attending regular and pre‑planned meetings with the client;
- Understand key business issues facing the client and bring viable solutions to address those needs.
- Act intentionally to retain clients and succeed.
- Masterfully collects, organizes, and reviews relationship information.
- Understand thoroughly (and stay knowledgeable of) employee benefits, including plan designs, available riders, compliance requirements, legislation, and emerging trends. Shares this knowledge with others at HUB.
- Strategically plan and execute plan renewals, staying in regular communication with the clients while also updating them on various emerging trends and solutions for their business needs.
- Proactively manage the process being followed by the service team and immediately addresses and solves problems generated through the renewal process.
- Provide value to our clients through timely and regular presentations of additional options for their benefits package; generates new opportunities and encourages clients to be innovative; alerts clients to potential issues (legislative and coverage information); serves clients as educators or special speakers on benefit topics to assist employees in being as effective as possible.
- Communicate thoroughly and clearly with all team members concerning client issues, renewals, and proactive work.
