- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and security‑related policies at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify hazards, unauthorized activity, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document daily activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with post orders.
- Support emergency response activities, alarm response, and/or evacuation procedures while maintaining clear communication with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies.
- Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
