Building Maintenance Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Coral Gables, Florida
.

The building maintenance technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes related to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems within a commercial property setting. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure building systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
• Other projects and tasks as assigned

• 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college is desirable
• Universal CFC EPA certification a plus, not required
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
