Under direct supervision the Assembly Operator performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. Must be available to work Alternative 2nd shift, Noon - 8 pm. Shifts are determined by business needs.
What You Will Do
- Technical Tasks:
- Perform machine and/or manual assembly.
- Scope, soldering, and computer work required.
- Perform unique assembly processes.
- Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
- Take ownership of accuracy of processes.
- Customer Focus:
- Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team.
- Build parts that meet drawing specifications.
- Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).
- Special Projects:
- Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
- Understand and use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.
- Achieve special process certification where applicable.
- Demonstrate a proactive role in problem solving.
- Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE).
- Communication:
- Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge or resolve problems related to production issues.
- Effectively interact with others.
- Participation:
- Participate in cost reduction plans.
- Participate in waste minimization efforts.
- Participate in audits.
- May be required to be on feet for long periods of time.
- Safety glasses and other safety equipment are required depending on task.
- Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.
- Ability to focus on safety and quality is extremely important.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- This position is on Alternate 2nd Shift, Noon - 8 pm. Must be willing and able to work Alternative 2nd shift, Noon - 8 pm.
- Training is typically on 1st shift. Candidates must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.
- Requires HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

- Must be willing and able to work alternative 2nd shift from Noon - 8 PM.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.
