Job Description

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations for Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The position reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports donor eligibility determination, donor adverse events, laboratory test review, and donor notification.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and blood testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and transport to emergency care.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on medical or technical issues affecting donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation by occupational health/ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS to investigate pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current nursing, NP, or PA license in the state of assignment.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Experience in clinical or hospital settings (minimum 2 years).

Hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. Actual wage to be determined based on qualifications, experience, and local regulations.
