Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner
Coram, NY | $200,000 to $300,000 per year | Full-Time or Part-Time | On-Site
A physician-led endocrinology group with multiple locations across Long Island is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join its Coram practice. The group has an established reputation for clinical quality and patient satisfaction across its Long Island footprint. This is a 100% outpatient position with no call, no hospital responsibilities, and a Monday through Friday schedule with flexible hours.
ScheduleMonday through Friday, day shift. Full-time or part-time hours available with flexible scheduling. No call. No evenings. No weekends.
Compensation$200,000 to $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience and hours.
What You'll DoThe Nurse Practitioner functions as an independent clinical provider within a physician-led endocrinology practice, diagnosing and managing a broad range of endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders including hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, hormone imbalances, and infertility. The NP develops and implements individualized treatment plans, provides patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies, and refers patients to appropriate specialty services as needed.
Documentation is completed within the practice EMR system in compliance with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and applicable payer guidelines. The NP collaborates with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate seamless patient management and provides clinical oversight to nurses, medical technologists, and support staff within the practice. The role carries an expectation of contributing to patient panel growth aligned with practice development objectives.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C) or Adult-Gerontology NP
- Training or clinical experience in endocrinology
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner
- Current BLS certification
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a patient panel in an outpatient setting
- Prior experience in a dedicated endocrinology or diabetes management practice
- Familiarity with value-based care metrics and quality reporting requirements
- Experience with EMR documentation in a high-volume outpatient setting
- Established patient or referral relationships on Long Island
