Mortgage Loan Processor Louisville, KY OR Corbin, KY

Reporting to the Mortgage Lending Manager, this full‑time, non‑exempt hourly role assists members with their mortgage loan applications. The Mortgage Loan Processor will process mortgage loans such as 1st Mortgages and HELOCs, schedule loan closings, and make loan disbursements.

• Review residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union standards and policies, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
• Type loan application forms. Submit mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval. Type closing documents as needed and forward to the appropriate person for closing.
• Contact specified companies to obtain title exam, survey, appraisal, and flood certification and inform the underwriter of any discrepancies.
• Call employer to verify accuracy of information regarding current employment status.
• Practice confidentiality where indicated in employee matters and credit union operations.
• Cooperate and work together as a team with co‑workers, maintain a neat work area and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• High School education or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
