Description:

Seeking Phlebotomist to assist volunteer donors while completing registration, medical screening, and phlebotomy processes. Requires excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills. Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public.

Hours:

Average work schedules will fall between the hours of 8:15am – 6:30pm Monday – Friday, and Saturday 7:30am to 2:30pm. Regular Sundays off with the exception of special events or as otherwise required due to business need. Pay: $15.50 to $17.50 per hour, based on education and experience. Phlebotomists who have completed at least 6 months of whole blood training may be required to successfully fulfill Automation training for an additional $ 2.50 skills premium.

Training:
This position is located in Corbin, but training will be approximately 10 – 12 weeks at our Beaumont location in Lexington (this time may not be consecutive).

Lodging is provided, and mileage will be reimbursed.

Work Environment:
This position regularly involves the following:

  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift up to or approximately 40 pounds without assistance.
  • Occasionally bend or reach to perform various job tasks.
  • Analyze complex situations and make sound decisions.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalent. Related training and education a plus.
  • Basic MS Office skills with the ability to effectively navigate web-based applications and systems.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to easily learn new skills, and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Must work well with others and demonstrate a desire to effectively interact with the public.
  • Have a strong, stable work history.
  • Pre-employment background check, and drug screen are required.
  • Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process.
