Overview
Provides human resources services to include recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, employee engagement, benefit and salary administration and payroll/timekeeping processing.
Summary of Essential Job Functions- Demonstrates and understands the importance of and respect for the rights, dignity and individuality of each patient in all interactions.
- Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified applicants. Develops and implements recruitment and retention strategies utilizing social media, job boards, college recruitment and community resources. Liaises with area colleges and universities and provides regional recruitment support to other facilities.
- Conducts employee relations investigations and takes appropriate action. Prepares and delivers corrective action process, including disciplinary action and terminations.
- Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation/salary determinations, leaves of action and productivity.
- On‑site management of learning management system for new hires, annual competencies and ad‑hoc educational assignments.
- Responds to unemployment claims and represents employer in related hearings.
- Prepares bi‑weekly payroll, managing time records to ensure accurate pay and benefit deductions.
- Completes onboarding process for new hires, conducts background checks, coordinates pre‑employment screens and regulatory requirements; submits information to corporate payroll services.
- Develops and delivers new‑employee orientation and coordinates clinical orientation with leaders.
- Serves as on‑site point person for staff reductions and conducts RIF meetings with CEO.
- Performs general benefits administration, communicates enrollment for new hires, coordinates annual open enrollment, ensures deduction changes are timely and accurate in payroll system.
- Serves as on‑site coordinator for CHC wellness program.
- Manages employee engagement activities: annual satisfaction survey, quarterly town‑hall meetings, staff celebrations and Hospital Week.
- Coordinates nomination process for Wilford Award.
- Manages annual performance evaluation process and processes merit increases.
- Implements company‑wide personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains OSHA records and completes annual submissions per federal guidelines and deadlines.
- Reports injuries/incidents to workers’ compensation carrier and coordinates return‑to‑work activity. Collaborates with clinical leadership to develop safety training.
- Serves as point of contact for leave administration and monitors approved leaves.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to human resources.
- Establishes confidential personnel files and serves as custodian of records.
- Serves as subject‑matter expert and super user for HR systems including UKG, Scheduler and Health Stream.
- Serves as IT liaison between regional facilities, host hospital and CHC IT.
