Summary

RN-ER Flow Coordinator – Full‑Time, Second Shift – Emergency Department, Corbin, KY

The Emergency Department is a 28‑bed level III facility that provides acute medical or surgical care for patients requiring immediate attention.

Job Description RN-Patient Flow Coordinator – ER (Full-Time)
  • Coordinate patient flow through evaluation, treatment, discharge, and transfers.
  • Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care and accurately document all activities.
  • Mentor and educate staff, supporting their development through coaching, orientation, and competency validation.
  • Support unit operations by maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment and assisting with unit management tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership by modeling critical thinking and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by following hospital policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate across departments, working with nursing leadership and other teams to resolve care concerns and improve outcomes.
  • Track and report patient metrics, monitor flow data, identify delays, and elevate issues as needed.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college/university.
  • Three (3) years of clinical management experience preferred.
  • BLS required; new employees must receive CPR training within the first week of orientation.
  • Familiarity with ACLS, PALS, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, NIH Stroke Certification, Glucometer Training, 12‑Lead ECG, Aegis Training, Nurse Wound Care, and TNCC.
