Security Officer-PRN

Security is responsible for providing the physical protection of Baptist Health assets, including people, property, reputation, and information.

Security Officer (PRN)

• Receiving general direction from the Security Director, Coordinator, or designee, enforcing Hospital regulations and providing a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors and employees.
• The Security Officer will enforce hospital policies and security regulations through active monitoring and patrolling of Baptist property by continuously watching and reporting potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences.
• As determined by supervisory personnel, the Security Officer investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct, assists in restraining patients as necessary, and provides protective services.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association within 90 days
• Must obtain Aegis within 90 days
• Must obtain Taser 7 certification within 90 days
• Must obtain Basic International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification within 6 months
