Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in Corbin, KY offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Paid Weekly
• Weekly Guarantee: $1715 per week
• Team Miles Pay: $0.335 per Mile with 4200+ Miles per week
• Team Stops Pay: $7.00 per Stop with 10-20 Stops per week
• Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per Drop/Hook
• Safety Bonus: $250 four times a year
• Shutdown Bonus: $2000 paid within first year in two installments
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, Saturdays as needed
• Start Time:
  Must be open to AM or PM due to bid system

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customer.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past three years.
• 2 years’ experience within the last five years.
• 5 years’ experience within the last ten years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Deliver solo to VA, WV, and KY.
• Tractor type:
  Sleeper Cab.
• Trailer type:
  Dry Van 53.
• Freight:
  No Touch – Auto Parts.
• Strong backing skills required.
• Company-paid scale bypass.
• Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.
