Length: 3 Months (ongoing)

Hours:

37 hours per week

Mon-Thu: 8:30am - 4:30pm (30 min break)
Fri: 8:30am - 4:00pm (30 min break)

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for experienced Electricians to join their Housing Services team carrying out essential electrical works across social housing properties throughout the North Northamptonshire area.

As an Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out electrical remedial works within occupied and void social housing properties
Undertaking testing and inspection activities to ensure compliance and safety standards are met
Completing rewiring works where required
Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently
Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard in line with current regulations
Accurately completing relevant documentation and certification
Delivering excellent customer service when working within tenants' homes
Participating in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota

Mileage paid at 45p per mile when using your own vehicle
Company vehicle may be available where required

Call-out rota: 1 week in every 4 weeks

Essential

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold and be able to provide proof of:

City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition
City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent)

Additional Requirements:

Proven experience in testing and inspection
Experience working within domestic or social housing environments is desirable
Full UK Driving Licence
Willingness to undertake CAT B Asbestos Awareness Training (or provide current certification)
