We have a very rare opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance fitter to join our client based in Corby. This role is due to retirement with the position starting at the beginning of September. Our client are part of a global company who are a well established manufacturing and industrial business. We are looking for a hands on engineer with an electrical bias and a strong mechanical knowledge to become part of a small but busy supportive engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, responding to breakdowns and helping to ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
To carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment
Respond quickly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements
Diagnose and fault find on both electrical and mechanical systems
Maintain and repair motors, drives, conveyors, rollers, hydraulics, pneumatics and sensors
Work on 3-phase systems and electrical panels
Assist with machinery installations, upgrades ad improvements
Schedule PPM work weekly
Ensure all maintenance is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Accurately complete all maintenance records and documentation.
Skills and Candidate Requirements
NVQ, C & G or recognised apprenticeship in Engineering or electrical maintenance.
18th edition would be desirable but not essential.
PC Fault finding would be advantageous.
Previously worked within a maintenance engineer or maintenance fitter role
Electrically biased with strong mechanical fault finding skills
Experience with in a manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering environment.
Be familiar with electrical drawings and schematics
Capable of working both independently or as a team.
Someone who can demonstrate longevity within their work history.
