Details
- Full Time Schedules
- Some weekends may be required
- 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
- Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)
- Mon-Fri, 0830 - 1700
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Monitor medication therapy and recommend adjustments when appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and facility policies.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
- Manage medication inventory, storage, and controlled substances.
- Promote patient safety through medication management and clinical interventions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacist.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
