NURSE PRACTITIONER, CF – California State Prison, Corcoran (COR)

OverviewUnder the supervision of the Chief Physician and Surgeon, the Nurse Practitioner (NP), CF assesses and manages the health care needs of patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and specialized clinical settings. The NP, CF performs physical examinations and therapeutic procedures; interprets routine laboratory and imaging results; and educates and counsels patients regarding matters pertaining to their physical and mental health. The NP, CF may also be assigned call duties with backup supervision by a physician manager.

Compensation$13,043.00 – $14,745.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Open to individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority.
