Certified Nursing Assistant – Corcoran
Location:
California State Prison, Corcoran (Kings County), CA.
Position Number:

Part‑time, 36 hours per week.
Monthly part‑time salary range: $4,356.00.
Term:
Limited to 12 months, extendable up to 24 months and/or becoming permanent.
- Assist patients with physical care and activities of daily living.
- Ensure patient safety and perform suicide watch activities, including suicide precautions and restraint monitoring.
- Address ongoing patient needs in collaboration with licensed nursing staff and other health care providers.
- Promote efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of health care resources.
- Work under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) II/III and the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Participate in the licensed nursing team within various treatment facilities and health care settings.
- Adhere to the California State Civil Service Pay Scales and related hiring authorizations.
- Eligible for a Hafted Job Classification under Section 5 (Hiring‑Above‑Minimum).
- Limited Intermittent (L.I.E.) for the maximum 1,500 hours per fiscal year; no guarantee of hours or schedule.
- All hours, including training, sick leave, vacation, and holidays, count toward the 1,500‑hour maximum.
- Payroll issued on the 15th following month from attendance reports (Positive Pay).
- Limited and intermittent staff are not eligible for health benefits.
