Schedule:

45–60 hours per week – 12 days on, 2 days off

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a skilled diesel technician to join a well‑established agricultural operation in the Central Valley. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of heavy equipment and be part of a team that keeps large‑scale farming operations running efficiently.

The Tractor Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel and gas‑powered off‑road equipment, including agricultural tractors, harvesters, construction equipment, stationary engines, and portable irrigation pumps.

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural and off‑road equipment.
• Repair and maintain diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, air systems, A/C systems, and computerized equipment systems.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, analyzers, and computer‑based software to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform A/C system service and repairs (training/certification preferred).
• Travel to field locations and independently complete repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and technical documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Diesel Technician program (≈1.5 years) or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Experience repairing agricultural, diesel, or heavy equipment preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, and work in various positions.
• Ability to use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, and operating tools.
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder level.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
