Position Summary
Under the leadership of the Director of Foundation and Community Relations, the Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing and communication initiatives that enhance the hospital's brand, increase awareness of healthcare services, strengthen community engagement, and support organizational growth. This position collaborates with leadership, physicians, service line directors, and community partners to execute strategic marketing campaigns that drive patient volumes, support fundraising initiatives, and reinforce the hospital's mission and values.
BasicQualifications
- Education:
Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of marketing, communications, or public relations experience required. Healthcare marketing experience preferred. Experience with digital marketing, social media management, website content management, and graphic design platforms preferred. - Licensure, Registrations &
Certifications:
No license required for this role.
- Develop and implement marketing plans to promote hospital services, physician practices, various service lines, special programs, and community health initiatives.
- Create and manage digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, newsletters, social media content, email campaigns, and website updates.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns across multiple communication channels while maintaining consistent branding and messaging.
- Assist with media relations by preparing press releases, coordinating interviews, and responding to media inquiries as directed.
- Plan, coordinate, and promote community outreach events, health fairs, educational programs, and hospital-sponsored activities.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify marketing opportunities that support strategic service line growth.
- Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports using key performance indicators (KPIs), website analytics, and social media metrics.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with applicable healthcare regulations, privacy requirements (HIPAA), and organizational branding standards.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, advertising agencies, photographers, printers, and media partners.
- Maintain the hospital's online presence by updating website content and monitoring social media engagement.
- Support physician recruitment and employee recruitment marketing initiatives as needed.
- Assist with internal communications that promote employee engagement, organizational culture, and important hospital initiatives.
- Maintain an annual marketing calendar and assist in managing departmental budgets.
