Equipment Operator - Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center

Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center , located in Cordele, GA is searching for a hardworking Full time
Equipment Operator for the Golf Course . Pay is depending on experience.

We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

• Schedule and perform appropriate preventative maintenance work on all golf course equipment.
• Perform routine functions of maintenance and repairs of golf course/project equipment tractors, riding mowers and hand mowers
• Keep all mowing equipment operable and properly sharpened.
• Keep service records on all equipment and major repairs to facilitate historical evaluations.
• Maintain shop working area in neat, orderly fashion and observe working conditions in compliance with all appropriate safety and compliance laws.
• Work with Superintendent and Golf Maintenance Crew in training and safety of equipment with entire staff.
• Operating various large golf maintenance equipment:
• Operating various small gas-powered equipment:
• string trimmer, stick edger, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, sod cutter, walk mower, etc.
• Maintain appropriate inventory control.
• Ability to keep current with industry trends and training.
• Assist with mechanical problems in other departments.
• Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions – rain and summer heat.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Position requires the individual to maintain flexible availability and may be required to return to the job site under emergency situations.
