Driver - Part Time

Basic Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or a GED state certification.

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
• Requires up to three months of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Clean driving record and criminal history.
• Requires a current valid Georgia driver’s license with less than 6 points against their license.
• A Motor Vehicle Report is required upon hire and reviewed annually.
• Maintains a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). If BLS verification is not current upon hire, it must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Defensive Driving Course Required.

• Assist clients into getting onto the vehicle and safely inside of their respective destination by following all safety guidelines.
• Communicates with the client regarding estimated pick‑up and drop‑off times.
• Responsible for completing trip summary documentation prior to the end of shift.
• Report any and all incidents or accidents to the supervisor.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspection on assigned vehicle to ensure they are in good working order and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift.
• Abides by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Responsible for safely transporting clients to and from appointments utilizing company vehicle in a professional manner.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner to include parking the vehicle and pulling into/out of temporary loading/unloading areas.
• Maintains vehicle service (tires, oil, gas, etc.).
• Adheres to established CRHS and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
