The Goddard School is the premiere spot for early childhood learning for children from six weeks to six years old. With over 600 franchised Schools and more than 75,000 students in 37 states and Washington D.C., The Goddard School uses the most current, academically endorsed methods to ensure that children have fun while learning the skills they need for long-term success in school and in life.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Qualifications include having at least one of the following education credentials to meet lead teacher qualifications: an associate or bachelor of arts in early childhood education or related field preferred, a child development associate (CDA), or at least 18 credit hours of college coursework in early childhood or general education. One to two years of previous experience is required, and successfully completing state-required pre-service training is preferred.

Teachers must develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members. They must also be able to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations and lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Background check eligibility is also required.
